ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Founded by a local family, the market started out with 12 markets in the late 1990’s and now boasts over 150 stalls half of which sell fresh, locally produced food. The market is passionate about helping people realise the importance of buying local and knowing where our food is made, grown, reared or produced.

HOW WE RATE IT & WHY WE LIKE IT

Markets are a big thing in South Africa and you’ll find them peppered here and there throughout the country. This one is a special one in KZN Natal and offers food, flowers, fresh produce and live music all against a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It’s always a great way to get a feel for South African culture and to meet some local people.
